Open Letter To My Beloved Students

My beloved students,
You really made my day. It was not only my day but our day! 

Teacher's Day ☆Missing it ~

Today it's 5th September.  It's World Teacher's Day. But as I'm suffering from MRSA, I'm in Medical Leave. So, I'm missing my students, my schools (both my work place & the school where i studied), my teachers all the day.

Teacher's Day is celebrated for
represent gratitude for teachers by
student. The teacher’s day is
celebrated across all over world. In
different countries it is celebrated on
different date. Teachers day and
World’s Teacher day both are
different from each other. World
teacher’s day celebrates on 5th
October.
On teachers day Student offers
flowers, gifts, Greeting cards to their
teachers. Teacher play very important
role in building of a man. Teacher
doesn’t mean the only who teaches at
school and colleges, The teacher is
very broad term, It includes the every
person who points our mistakes and
leads us to right path of our life.
Teachers’ Day is celebrated as a
tribute to the valuable contribution
made by teachers to the society by
imparting knowledge and
enlightening and shaping the career
of students. For students, Teachers’
Day is an occasion to pay reverence
and gratitude to teachers for their
selfless effort in shaping their career
and enriching the education system
in the process.India celebrates Dr.
Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday
on September 5 since 1962. This is the
primary reason why countries
celebrate this day on different dates,
unlike many other International Days.

In India sometimes, Guru Pornima is
celebrated. On that day Shish (student
or follower) of Guru greets their
teachers. The schools and collages
makes the well preparations for the
celebrations. The speeches by
students for respect and thanking
teachers for their contribution. This is
often followed by a range of colorful
cultural programs, feast and other
activities which make the event
special and memorable.
Now a day’s, Teachers Day is one of
the occasions looked forward by
the teachers and students alike as on
this occasion it’s not only when
teachers are praised but also around
various schools students dress up as a
representation of their teachers and
take various lectures that are assigned
to the teachers they represent. As the
day passes the students do the regular
activities that are performed by the
teachers. On this day students realize
what it means to be a teacher and
what it means to control the future of
several students in their classes and
teachers are reminded what it felt
like when they were the students.

এক - দুই - তিন

এক-দুই-তিন................

দেখতে দেখতে তিন-তিনটে বছর পাড়  করলাম এই স্কুলে। মাঝে মাঝে  মনে হয়, এই সেদিনের কথা. 

দিনটা ছিল ২৪শে ফেব্রুয়ারী,২০১১। written test আর viva'র পরে রেজাল্ট বেরলো। আমি এডমিট কার্ড-টা খুঁজে না পেয়ে, ফর্ম-এর কাউন্টার পার্ট থেকে কি একটা নম্বর পেয়ে নেট-এ put করলাম। যথারীতি দেখালো," sorry! You're unsuccessful!"; ,ভেবেছিলাম, যাঃ! এটাও গেল! সেজেগুজে চলে গেছিলাম অন্য একটা Interview দিতে।কিন্তু হঠাত-ই যখন বিকেল বেলা "Joining Letter"-টা পেলাম, ভেবেছিলাম ভুল  করে এসে গেছে! তারপর শুরু করলাম, আসল Admit Card-টা খুঁজতে। পেয়ে দেখলাম "Roll No." আর "Form No." ২টো-তো সম্পূর্ণ আলাদা! তখন আবার নেট-এ বসলাম। ঠিকঠাক রোল নং দিতে, দেখালো "Congrats! You're Successful!" It was such an amazing experience!! 

যাইহোক, তারপরে কাউন্সিলে দৌড়নো. পছন্দ-সই স্কুল না পাওয়াতে joining-এর আগেই Re-posting! সেসব অনেক কান্ড!!
১৭দিন ধরে এসব কান্ড করার পরে শেষমেশ ১২ই মার্চ, সকাল ১০টা ৪৫মিনিট-এ join করলাম।
স্কুল সম্পর্কে আমার প্রথম অভিব্যক্তি ছিল, এরকম-ও স্কুল হয়!!
প্রথমে মন বসাতে অনেক সময় লেগেছিল। কিন্তু ওদের সাথে মিশতে মিশতে কখন যে ওদের ভালোবেসে ফেললাম, নিজেই জানিনা।
যখন প্রথম গেলাম, তখন ওরা পড়াশোনার বাইরে আর কিছুই সেরকম করত না. ভাবলাম, ওদের কিছু শেখানো দরকার! পড়াশোনার সাথে সাথে কিছু Extra Curricular Activity শেখাতে শুরু করলাম। "নাচ"-টা ছোটবেলা থেকে শিখেছি। এবং এটা আমার একটা ভালবাসার জায়গাও বটে. তাই শুরু-তা এটা দিয়েই করলাম। বাকি দিদি-দেরও আমার পাশে পেলাম। আমার পরে আরও ২জন দিদি এলেন (নতুন নন, অন্য স্কুল থেকে ট্রান্সফার হয়ে).  তাদের মধ্যে একজন ড্রিল ও একজন গানে বেশ ভালো। শুরু করলাম আমাদের নতুন  পথ চলতে। তবে সময় লাগলো প্রায় ১বছর. ওদের দিয়ে প্রথম perform করালাম ৫ই সেপ্টেম্বর,২০১৩-তে. উপস্থিত ছিলেন প্রায় ১১৫জন.

অনুষ্ঠান Almost Successful! সাহসের পারদ একটু একটু করে বাড়তে লাগলো! স্কুল থেকে বেরিয়ে এবার ওদের আত্মপ্রকাশ করতে হবে বাইরে। সামনেই আমাদের Annual Sport Meet (Circle-V). এতদিন ধরে স্পোর্টস-এর মাঠে কালচারাল অনুষ্ঠানে যোগ দিতে দেখেছি আমাদের সার্কেলের নামী ৪টে স্কুল-কে. ভাবলাম এটাই ভালো সুযোগ! দিদি-রা বললেন, "ভেবে দেখ স্বর্নালী, হুজুগের মাথায় কোনো সিদ্ধান্ত নিও না." কিন্তু আমার তো যা ভাবার তা হয়ে গেছে। নতুন করে ভাবার আর কোনো জায়গা ছিল না. কারণ পিছিয়ে যেতে তো আমি শিখিনি। আদা-জল খেয়ে লেগে পড়লাম ওদের তৈরী করতে। সাথে পেলাম বাকি দিদি-দের সাহায্য। সব-ই ঠিক ঠাক চলছে, এমন সময় জানতে পারলাম, এই দিন-কার কালচারাল অনুষ্ঠান-এ participate করার জন্য আমার নাম এসেছে।পরলাম খুব বিপদে। আমি নিজে rehearsal করতে যাবো, নাকি ওদের সময় দেবো! ২টোই তো সমান গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, শুধু আমার জন্য নয়! গত স্কুল-এর জন্য। স্কুল-এ ওদের নিয়ে শুরু করলাম। আর বাড়িতে নিজেকে ঘসামাজার কাজ করতে লাগলাম। অনুষ্ঠানের আগের দিন ওদের শাড়ী, গয়না, মেক-আপ সবকিছু বাড়ি নিয়ে এলাম, যাতে সবকিছু perfect হয়. সবকিছু শেষ করে ঘুমোতে গেলাম ৩টে নাগাদ। 

পরদিন সকল ৮টার মধ্যে মাঠে পৌঁছলাম। উদ্বোধনি অনুষ্ঠান আমার। অন্য একজন দিদির ওপর দায়িত্ব দিলাম ওদের রেডি করার। কিন্তু ওই যে, সব কিছু Perfect করার জন্য নিজের অনুষ্ঠান শেষ করেই ছুটলাম ওদের Finishing-Touch দিতে। সব কিছু দেখেশুনে নেওয়ার পরে এবার ঈশ্বর-কে ডাকার পালা। স্কুলের নাম announce হওয়ার সাথে সাথে ওদের মাঠে ঠিক  করে position দেখিয়ে দিয়েই আমার বুক ধিবধিব করতে লাগলো! ঈশ্বর-কে ডাকছি, "আমার মুখটা রেখো!" হলো অনুষ্ঠান। খুব যে ভালো,সেটা বলতে পারি না. কিন্তু ভালো স্কুল-এর লিস্ট-এ একটা নতুন নাম-তো অবশ্যই যোগ হলো. এটাই বা আমার কম পাওনা কিসের?!   বেশি কিছু চাইনা, চাই যে, আমি যতটুকু শিখেছি, তার কিছুটা যেন ওদের দিতে পারি! আজ এই '৩' -এর পাশে একটা '০' বসার অপেক্ষায় রইলাম! :)

মজার অভিজ্ঞতা

গতকাল টিফিন টাইমে নার্সারির ক্লাস-রুমের বাইরে দিয়ে যাচ্ছি। হঠাত-ই একটি বাচ্চা, নাম দেব ( সিনেমার 'দেব' নয় ), আমার কাছে এসে বললো, "আন্টি, সুজন আমার ঘাড় টিপে দিয়েছে।" সুজন-কে ডেকে আনতে পাঠালাম। সে এলো, কিন্তু তার দোষ কিছুতেই স্বীকার করে না. এটুকু ব্যাপারে নার্সারী-র টিচার-কেও ডাকতে পারছি না. সুজন-কে নানা ভাবে জিজ্ঞেস করে চলেছি। কিছুতেই তো আর কিছু বলে না. শুধু বলে "আন্টি, আমি কিছু করিনি।"

পড়লাম এক সমস্যায়। দেব বলে চলেছে, অর ঘাড় টিপে দিয়েছে। আর সুজন বলে কিনা, সে করেনি।

একটা ফাঁকা ঘর দেখে দুজন-কে নিয়ে বসলাম। বকবো না, লজেন্স দেবো; বলেই চলেছি। কোনো লাভ-ই হচ্ছে না. সুজন-কে বলছি, ধাক্কা দিয়েছ? চিমটি কেটেছ? মেরেছ? সবেতেই বলে, "না". আচ্ছা মুশকিল হলো যে! এইসময় দেব-এর ঘাড়ে ঠিক কত-টা লেগেছে, দেখতে গিয়ে দেখি, ওর জামার কলার-তা একটু ভিজে। ইতিমধ্যে দেখেছি যে, সুজন-এর হাত-দুটো একটু ভিজে ভিজে! ব্যাপার-টা পরিষ্কার হলো যে, কিছু তো একটা হয়েছে। কিন্তু হয়েছে-টা কী?!

প্রায় ১২/১৩মিনিট এই করতে করতে কেটে গেছে। আর অপেক্ষা করতে পারলাম না. সুজন-কে জিজ্ঞাসা করলাম, " তুমি দেব-এর কলার ধরেছিলে কেন?"  

সুজন স্মার্টলি উত্তর দিলো , "দেখনা আন্টি, কখন থেকে দেব-কে ডাকছি, শুনতেই পাচ্ছিল না. তাইতো, পেছন থেকে ওর  জামার কলার ধরে ডাকলাম। কলারের ভেতরে যে ওর ঘাড়-টাও  আছে, বুঝতেই পারিনি!"

আমার  কাজ শেষ! কি যে বলবো; আদৌ কিছু বলবো কিনা বুঝতে না পেরে; ওদের দুজনের ভাব করিয়ে দিয়ে, নিজের ক্লাসের দিকে পা বাড়ালাম। :)

Teacher’s Day

5^th September is known as Teacher’s Day. I had celebrated Teacher’s Day in our school for long 15years and 6years in my graduate school as a student.

But, this is the first time, when I’ve celebrated Teacher’s Day as a Teacher.

Yes, I’m a teacher, an Assistant Teacher of Manicktala High School (Govt. Recognized).

Today, I’ve gathered totally a different feeling. I was gifted lots of roses, greeting cards, books, red inked pens and delicious sweets and cakes by our little and sweet students. The system of celebration is something different from any other school. Here, in our school, each and every class invites us (all teachers) to their classroom and try to celebrate this day separately from another class.

Whatever, it’s a lovely experience. Thank u so much, my dear students.

Finally~

Today, I've joined in my new job. A permanent designation has added with from today. 

Yes, I'm an Assistant Teacher. 

When I was child, i used to play "Teacher-Teacher". Though, I'm a single child of my parents, hence i hadn't any companion to play together. Obviously, i had become the Teacher, and, my dolls, my furniture, my pillows had become my students during the game.

But, today, in real, i have joined as a Teacher.

There are so many persons for whom it's possible today. but, especially, i convey my heartfelt thanks to mom, without whom it was just next to impossible. i know, a little thanks is not enough. Hence, I just wanna say, "Love You, Maa".
